When Chris and I decided to plan a wedding, we knew we were getting into something enormous.
No kidding, there we were in the BayCon lobby, looking around. You couldn’t look up without seeing someone you knew. And as we thought about who we might want to invite, and where we might have the shindig, and what we might do, we realized that this was not going to be easy.
But we’re determined to make it fun. We hope to defy some expectations, and live up to others. We’ll do a lot of it ourselves, and buck tradition in all the ways that make things interesting.
Please join us as we plan, agonize, stress, laugh, mock, object, regret, recoil, delight, and fret about this whole marriage thing. After all, our relationship has been a group effort, why not our wedding?
We love you all.
It is entirely possible to plan your own wedding. The one thing I _would_ recommend is making sure you have someone else to run stuff the day of the wedding. That’s one thing I would have done differently. That and actually eaten some of the food.
Eating is a good thing to keep in mind. I do have my day-of czar – as a matter of fact I had her lined up before I even got my bridesmaids to agree! 😀
