The thing is, I found a dress that both Chris and I love. It’s simple, elegant, refined, has all the features we both agree on, and is a flattering a-line to fit my ridiculously curvy shape. Chris loved the pictures as much as I did – even though it’s a FAR cry from the initial designs I had come up with.
So, I did my homework and researched the company that sells it. They are located in China, which is fine… except that all over the message boards people are saying they haven’t gotten their dress months later, or that when it came it looked nothing like the photo. Or that the hem was not straight and the grommets were falling off. Not things I want to deal with.
Obviously, we’re not going to order from that company. I will either find a local shop that sells a dress close to this, or I will make this dress myself or have a seamstress do it. But man, sheesh. Why couldn’t it have been THAT easy?

So now, I start looking online and try to find something equivalent. I’ll take these pictures to bridal shops and see if they’ve got anything like it. And if both of those fail, I’ll make the darn thing myself. Sheesh.

I got my wedding dress custom made from them and was extremely happy. I love the design and agree that it will be just stunning on you.
Exquisite! Love it, and hope you don’t have to sew it yourself. I know you could do it, but there’s probably tons of other things you’d rather concentrate on in the next few months. Awesome when a dress says ‘take me home’ to you, though!!
